health insurance premiums when you are so healthy to begin with that you hardly use the medical system at all?
Consider health shares. Premiums can be as little as $150 per person, or lower, with $1,000 annual deductible, and up to $1,000,000 in catastrophic coverage.
Good health is strongly rewarded by the above deal, and healthy lifestyles are strongly encouraged in health shares. In fact, if you go with Solidarity Health Share, they even cover naturopathic medicine, which is a comprehensive system of medicine, with individualized treatment plans, forged by doctor and patient together in consultation, incorporating natural and/or pharmaceutical solutions as needed by the individual patient (subject to licensing by each state).
The health share plans are quick to point out that they are not health insurance. That is, you pay a “monthly share” rather than a premium. And you have an “annual unshared amount” rather than a deductible, although each functions similarly.
